- La Tour d'Argent has been located on the Left Bank of the Seine River in Paris, France opposite the Cathedral of Notre Dame since 1582; at first it was both a hotel and a restaurant and later the hotel was closed and only the restaurant remained; in 1890, the restaurant introduced its "pressed duck" and began numbering the ducks and keeping registers tracking to whom each numbered duck was served; the client was given a card with the number of the duck they were served; this is the card for duck number 790375 since 1890;
