original 1959 TNL map Nice France full color Art Deco print 25.5x19.5" gd cond.

Description

I buy vintage linens at local estate auctions to pass them along to you, and always try to look out for interesting antique items.
This is a map of Nice France that dates to 1959.  It is large, measuring
25.5" wide by 19.5" high when unfolded, and is printed on nice quality paper.  It has aged somewhat to a pale tan color.  This is a plan of the routes of the autos and trolleybus of the city of Nice, published by the Tramways de Nice et du Littoral or TNL, and it is printed with many colors.  The fonts used give it an Art Deco look.  The front has the large map of the city and bay, including whimsical touches like the steamer and sailboats in the bay, the train on the track, and the small airplanes at the Nice Aeorport!  The back side has informational timetables and advertisements from local businesses.

This map is so attractive on both sides!  It would frame beautifully and add a great decorator touch.  I had to look closely to find a date but finally found it at the lower back right corner, as shown in the last photo: 12/1959.   The only condition issue is a darker area in the center of the map as shown in the last photos; there are no tears or rips or holes.
This is a lovely survivor.
