At the time this poster was produced Hong Kong was still under British rule (1950s - 1977). For the West it represented a gateway to Asia, it's markets, and tourism as well.
Lovely traditional artwork depicting a character from a Chinese opera.
American President Lines Ltd. has a long history providing global shipping as well as cruises with a comfort level similar to classy hotels. It is currently the world's third-largest container transportation and shipping company, providing more than 80 weekly services.
